About Us

Woodland Aviary ethically breeds and preserves White-capped Pionus parrots. We maintain a small, focused breeding program to protect this rare species and place healthy, socialized birds in knowledgeable homes.

Health and Disease Testing

We raise each chick in a clean, nurturing environment with daily socialization and proper weaning. Before placement, we test birds for PBFD, Polyoma, and Bornavirus. Buyers must schedule a wellness exam with a licensed avian veterinarian within 48 hours of receiving the bird. If a bird dies within the guarantee window, the buyer must provide a necropsy from a licensed avian vet to qualify for a refund.

Shipping & Delivery

Based on weather and safe conditions, we ship birds within the continental United States using Delta Cargo. Buyers pay shipping and crate fees in full before transport.

Payment & Reservation

We accept payments through Credit Card, Affirm, Zelle, and PayPal. Buyers pay for additional surcharges/transaction fees, generally between 2% and 4%. Buyers must submit a non-refundable deposit to hold a bird and pay the balance before pickup or shipping.

Contracts

Buyers sign a sales contract before we transfer ownership. This agreement outlines buyer responsibilities and our guarantee.
